My thoughts on beauty this morning:
Beauty.
There's so much that goes into that one word. Beauty is full, not empty. Beauty is strong, not weak. Beauty is expensive, not easy to come by.
Beauty is most aptly received and enjoyed when it's met with vulnerability. When a person lets down their walls and breathes it in. When a person stops what they're doing, takes a minute and really looks at it, to enjoy it and see it and take it in.
Beauty is not made to be practical; it's made to be extravagant and expensive and risky to acquire.
Beauty is a step beyond basic needs that a person can't avoid. Beauty is what makes it possible for a person to truly live. Our bodies perish without food, but our hearts perish without beauty.
